"A Hymn to the Outcast" (karaoke)

"A Hymn to the Outcast" (sheet music)

Outcasts, we greet you!

Earth our common Motherhood;

Humbly entreat you

To our Brotherhood.

You are all forsaken,

Oh, the world's unholy pride!

Levite priest, mistaken,

Passes you aside.

Outcasts, in desperation,

You have wandered far abroad.

By us, regeneration

Comes to you from God.

You who have started

Into crime's downward career,

Long grown hard-hearted

By a world so drear.

Socialism's tiding

Seeks you with wide-open arms.

Fellowship, abiding,

Frees from all alarms.

Outcasts, in desperation,

You have wandered far abroad.

By us, regeneration

Comes to you from God.

Far, far you've wandered:

Girlhood once so fair, so pure,

Life's treasure squandered,

Caught by mammon's lure.

A new age approaches,

Dawn of glad equality;

Farewell old reproaches,

Gold's captivity!

Outcasts, in desperation,

You have wandered far abroad.

By us, regeneration

Comes to you from God.
