Joe, Hill and NPR have crossed the line, poking fun at the saving blood of Jesus Christ and the promise of heaven.
Heb 10:29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[a] and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”[b] 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Well, we’ll have plenty of company down there in the company of false Christians like yourselves who weaponise the Bible to keep the poor and oppressed ‘in their place’.
With all due respect I think if you’re in the comments section of an abandoned blog quoting the Bible to argue against a man who was so devout in his advocacy for the poor that he was executed for it, you need to ask yourself some question about what Jesus means to you.
